OK, I am trying OpenEXR with this http://sourceforge.net/projects/mingw-w64/files/Toolchains%20targetting%20Win64/Personal%20Builds/ray_linn/GCC-4.7.0-with-ada/ build and seeing some progress. There are differences between the configuration of the two compilers but I hope to get it working.
