Okay so does this mean that GameKit is meant to replace BGE and Blender 
Player?

We still need to specify OGRE parameters in Blender. For example what 
casts shadow and what receives shadow.

I guess GameKit will do that if it runs when a user presses P  (instead 
of BGE running).

If thats the case then I won't work on it.
