take a look at Colorista / Rebel-CC. Maybe they are not intuitive to you,
but they are the standard three way color correction and should work that
way.

Curves are a nice addition. But Lift/Gamma/Gain should be available, too!

Xavier: thanks for pointing out the problem with lift vs. offset. I was
pretty sure, that I did it wrong, when I coded it, but didn't found a
place, where it really was explained properly... (and blender release was
the next week :) )

So: go ahead, apply your fix! I can also write a patch, but not before
xmas, that's for sure!

The lookup table is only used for byte-values, so it should only affect
speed not quality.

We should add an input prefilter pipeline for that. As Xavier pointed out,
it may be the right time, to think about image processing functions that
are reused across blender.
