Interestingly enough, OSX doesn't actually zero all memory.  It just 
happens that memory (for some inexplicable reason) tends to be zero far 
more often then other OS's.  Or at least that was the result of people 
testing it on IRC a while back.  Still, whether it zeros memory or not, 
it certainly tends to suffer from the same sort of zero'd memory bugs of 
things working that should not.
