Blender is a very usuful video editor for linux and other platforms. But
unfortunatly the ffmpeg video choser in blender only has the option to
encode to these few codecs: MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, AVI, Quicktime, DV,
H264, Xvid. Now while these comprise the best and most widely used options,
I am wondering why all of ffmpegs other codecs aren't avalible in the
blender menu. Here is a list of all of the encoders built into ffmpeg:
http://ffmpeg.mplayerhq.hu/ffmpeg-doc.html#SEC24

Now while the remaining formats aren't as widely used, it would still be
usuful to have an option in blender to output to them. I am thinking in my
mind of a submenu in the ffmpeg video choser called 'assorted codecs', where
all of the other less popular formats are stored.
