Sticking to aviation terms, I think what Carsten means by "Nick" is pitch.

Maybe we should use this picture when referring to rotation in 3D space: 
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Flight_dynamics_with_text.png (after all, 
it's made with blender).
