one of the soya devs is working on something a bit similar (a yet another c++ 
game engine. he wants to learn)  and is looking into using python numeric 
data in c(++) and gave this link,

i put that to newly created 
http://mediawiki.blender.org/index.php/BlenderDev/PythonBlender and will put 
bookmarks there if they happen to come across - anyone feel free to add 
comments & whatever there, and take the code further of course .. i wont 
before March.
