Dear Peter and Gert,

In my opinion, we don't need any updates for WP7 compared to our
deliverable D7.1 "Specification of acoustic simulation". One
possibility is to replace the current text of WP7 in D2.3 with D7.1,
and the other possibility is to refer readers to that deliverable. I
think we can't give more detailed specifications at this point.

Here is our status report from HUT regarding our current situation:

The 3D-audio panoration demonstration for a single sound source is now
finished. We had an internal demo of that just an hour ago and it
worked nicely. The reproduction can be made either we headphones or
with loudspeakers (all the source code is open source, but the applied
HRTF filter coefficients are proprietary ones. So, if you want to test
it, you need your own HRTF filters). The software applies Mustajuuri
audio signal processing engine and is implemented as Mustajuuri
plug-ins discussing with each other through Verse.

For further development of our demo, we have two wishes:

1) Currently the navigation is made with keyboard and there is nothing
visual. We hoped (and still hope) to make the navigation with Quel
Solaar, but since it is currently under major revision there is no
running version available of it. The communication in our software is
implemented as we thought Quel Solaar might provide the same
information, but there are no guarantees that we managed to make it
the same way. So, the communication with Quel Solaar remains to be
tested later.

2) We didn't manage to get Verse audio streaming to run. Most
probably it is our fault, but in the future it would help if we get a
running exmple code. By that means, we could enhance our demo with
live audio streaming through Verse. Eskil and Emil, could you please
provide us some example code of audio streaming.

In addition, I would like to inform you that we are going to have a
short break in our development. Unfortunately both of our researchers
in Uni-verse decided to leave us and go to the industry. We have not
yet recruited new people and for this reason further development of
our audio demonstration is freezed for a while. However, this
incorporates no changes in our overall plan or milestones.

With best regards,
	Lauri
