Hmm, yes that was my second thought, my first was why there are 
different compression levels if all are equally good? Therefore I choose 
to use level 0 (in GIMP by the way), to be sure... (a bad choice as it 
seems)

The only thing now I can think of is that it takes more time to compress 
a level 9 than a level 0 otherwise same quality?
