[Bf-docboard] Blender3D Exporter Question

Hello,

I've programmed an Exporter for Blender 3D and I have a question about the 4 pointed Mesh Faces that can be exported.

I was assuming that all 4 of the Mesh Face points would indeed form Face, but it some cases, a single 4 pointed Mesh face can represent multiple faces.

To see what I mean, just add a simple Plane Mesh to a Scene and move 2 points on the face vertically. Now the 4 points of the Mesh "Face" are now a 3D shape when rendered.

Since I need to convert the 4 pointed Mesh face into triangle-strips anyways, I was wondering if any developer has any clues as to how to best convert a 4 pointed Mesh Face into Triangle Strips ( when the 4 points are actually in 3D as I described. )

I already know how to convert a 2D face into to Triangle Strips - I'm just confused by the Blender 4 pointed Mesh Face type. Does any developer have any clues on how to deal with this situation.

My exporter runs fine with Blender3D v 2.32. But yesterday after I tried upgrading to Blender v2.33,it doesn't appear as though my exporter is being located by Blender3D. In other words, it's not listed in the available Exporter components when I use the Export command.

Anybody know what changed with Python Scripts since Blender v2.32? What's funny is that after I remove ALL of the Exporter Scripts from scripts folder, they still appear as installed when I use the Export command in Blender.

Thanks in advance,
