Hi :)

Yes, Use a recent Linux Distro for easiest set-up :)
> 2- Get the latest CVS files in your machine.
> Rename/copy it to something "more local"
Why?
> 3- Install the docbook DTD that comes with it (which
> was not the same I had installed, for a change)
Yes, it is not, but if you are on Linux and use the
Makefile and don't rename the directories too much it is
unneeded...

vi?
> 5- Load the chapter's XML you want to edit form the
> "local" copy of the CVS
Ok
> 6- Start coding XML Docbook following the brief tips

> ".xml".
Yes, that's all we have :(
> 7- When finished, I think I have to edit the
> BlenderManual.xml file at the top level to "declare"

Yes, and please consistently subdivide your work.
Usually there is a XML for the chapter, with an intro and then
includes separate XMLs, one for each section...
> 8- Then I have to create a diff file of the whole
> local CVS tree
Yes, or, in the case of brand new chapters, forget the DIFF and
mail everithing (As I did for the Skinning)
> 9- Submit the diff to the docboard via email
Yay. Max size 40k, but you can mail more, then
mods will allow your mail through.
> 10- Someone, maybe S68/Ton/God/CameronDiaz will upload
YOu forgot B@rt, Eric and Michelle Pfeiffer (sp?)

In labels, MAL for Malefico and LAN for Landis might do.
It is a (pitifull) try to keep labels unique...
