Hi Landis,

at first that seems quite a good idea - concentrated information on certain
themes. But I have to agree with the others in the Forum threads on some
points:

- What you are describing is effectively giving the existing knowledge an
easily accessible structure. (OK, it could also be writing new knowledge down,
but I hardly believe anyone has enough time to do that.) A sorted
Problem/Solutions database would be a desireable end goal, but a similar accessibility
of information could be achieved with much simpler means, e.g. a tutorial
search engine (incorporating all known resources on various websites) or a
linklist sorted by themes. Wouldn't it be sensible to seek a simpler solution first
and then use that for further advancement?

- By specifiying the themes and then looking for the appropriate
information, rather than vice versa, the database will probably remain notoriously
incomplete - the range of possible problems/tasks with Blender is probably wider
than any person can imagine.

I'm not much into the DocBoard planning, so I can't tell you if such an idea
would fit into this concept or if it would have to be a separate project.
(Hopefully someone else can answer that one.) I'm sure your enthusiasm would be
greatly appreciated for realizing existing plans - I know that is much more
boring than planning exciting new ideas, but somebody has got to do the
"boring" work too!
