Precisely. I just rebuilt the sid version of openal into my build
environment, and that binary no longer crashes for me on repeated runs
of conveyor-head.blend. I'll have some test archives up at
http://donkey.dyndns.org/~yann/blender/builds/ soon, look for
"newopenal".
