[Verse-dev] vclock

Hi!

Just a brief note to draw your attention to the "vclock" client I
wrote during our recent visit to the IST 2006 event in Helsinki.

Featured with a screenshot and CVS link at the verse.blender.org
News page, vclock is simply a program that creates and updates a
bitmap with a digital watch display. Using it, you get a texture
that updates once every second, showing the time using friendly
easy-to-read classic 7-segment displays.

You can easily control the timezone for which time is displayed
(it shows GMT by default, but use -offset=n to add n minutes),
so it would be easy to put together a scene with a bunch of clocks
showing the time in e.g. New York, Paris, Tokyo and so on. :)

Not sure if this is of great interest, but I found it fun to have
around when demonstrating Verse, since it adds an element of dynamic
data to a server very easily. Plus, I just like LED clocks. :)

Comments welcome, of course.

Regards,

/Emil
