[Uni-verse] Changes for project

Hi,

I agree with a central focus on the content creation market. It doesn't
have to completely redefine the partner's work (which is OK to have
substantial scientific research/development), but each of the larger
partners (KTH, II, HUT, FHG) could take a share in providing useful
deliverables (tools/demonstrators) which are immediately usable for
people working in 3D creation.

We're all users of 3d tools ourselves. The list as provided by eskil
(photoshop. XSI, zbrush, CAD tools, Wavelab, etc) can easily be
expanded. Just define what you think would be useful to have a verse
connection with.

I also think it's a shame we don't really listen to (or analyze) the
needs of partner MinusPlus for what they can really use. A simple 3D
web player (showing verse realtime content) is in my opinion still one
of the best products an architect can use, especially if it nicely
connects to the scheduled 3DS plugin. Obviously Macromedia Shockwave is
the best candidate to look at.

The main 'but' seems to be that - apart from us - nobody really is
active in the tools market. :)

How much our project Orange will fit in as a Demonstrator I can't
define well yet. I've discussed with Eskil a couple of ideas, will wait
for Gert's feedback on that.
