So in the EditVlak structure...

e2 is counterclockwise from e1
e3 is cc from e2=20
e4 is cc from e3=20
e1 is cc from e4

I take it that n[] is the normal?

It could be done this way too:

1- User selected two faces and invoke the tool

Blender enter a fixed mode (like Knife mode)

2- User click on one edge of the faces and then click
on the corresponding edge on the other face

The rest is easy stuff, especially since vertices are
stored counterclockwise are the normals. You just have
to make sure that the normals of the two faces are
face opposite directions (dot product < 0).
