Summary: select codec glitch

Initial Comment:
on windowsXP (and probably other OSs)
click "AVI codec" to bring up standard selct codec box.
now click cancel.
blender doesn't accept this, and the select codec box 
goes behind the blender window, but doesn't appear on 
the taskbar. blender freezes and doesn't work again 
until you actually bring select codec box back up and 
choose and option.
does anyone else get this?

I can't replicate that behaviour here on WinXP, SP1. If I
click outside the 'AVI Codec' window, on the Blender window,
I get the same behaviour as you've described, and have to
minimise the Blender window in order to get back to the AVI
Codec window. However that doesn't happen to me when I click
'Cancel' in the AVI Codec window.
