  Johnny matthews made a proposal for bridging/lofting in a mesh object.
  I already experimented with this, and have a somewhat-working-version (tm)
  usage:

  - read instructions :)
  
  this is still work in progress! it doesn't work correctly if you bridge without removing the faces first.
