Stani's Python Editor (Spe) is a Python IDE built on the wxPython
toolkit. It features auto-indentation, auto completion, call tips,
syntax coloring, syntax highlighting, class explorer, source index, auto
to-do list, sticky notes, integrated Pycrust shell, Python file browser,
recent file browser, drag and drop, and context help. Special is its
blender support with a Blender 3d object browser and its ability to run
interactively inside Blender. Spe ships with wxGlade (gui designer),
PyChecker (source code doctor), XRCed (GUI editor) and Kiki (regular
expression console). Spe is a particularly powerful environment if you
are developing Python applications using the wxPython toolkit. Its
integration with other tools make it a complete solution.

This version of Spe (0.7.1) is the first one that runs well on Mac OS X.
Previous versions had severe bugs that made Spe unusable. Stani
Michiels, the developer of Spe, made a concerted effort to get Spe
running on OS X, and we thank him for his efforts. We have packaged Spe
and its plug-ins into standard double-clickable Mac application bundles.
