[Soc-2011-dev] Weekly Report 3 - Mocap Tools

This Week:
Finished basic retargeting work. Given a mapping between hierarchies, the
script will copy the animation from the performer over to the end user,
whatever configuration is given, while considering bone roll, rotation and
scale inheritance, etc. Code is relatively clean and well commented, and has
been committed to Pepper branch.

Next Week:
Stride tools - Analysis of original motion to determine which frames contain
footplants, determining how the foot is moved forward during those frames by
the chain of its parents, and creating a new displacement curve for the root
bone, thus preventing skid.
This tool will be the first of the “constraint” tools, which use various
constraints and techniques to allow the artist to fix/change the original
motion at a high level, while semi-automatically dealing with the “details”.
Also possibly will work on UI side of things, as testing the code already
written manually is a bit bulky and difficult, and I would like to maybe
even release this early stage to users.

Issues: None, on schedule.
