[Soc-2011-dev] Wiki portal + design docs

Hi students,

I would like to emphasis that we really need a good portal with docs
(design) and progress reports. It's not sufficient to only report here!

Each student should have access to our wiki, I'd like to see each you
maintaining a new page there (keep original GSoC proposal as it was)
to collect your notes and designs there. If you send the URLs of the
wiki pages to this list, we then can make a nice central wiki page for
people to easily browse it all. We can add links to testbuilds there,
and re-use this cool salad bowl graphic!

Students should also design their pages in a way that gives good
insight for the other developers (and the mentors) what the design
proposals and decisions are. It's really important to choose a
direction now that gives best chances to get your work accepted in
trunk later. Better be safe now than sorry later!

Also spend sufficient time on presenting your work in a way that
(technical savvy) artists can also understand and review it. Add
diagrams, screenshots, usability descriptions!

Thanks,

-Ton-
