Hi all!
My project is improving COLLADA Animation support
*== What I did this week ==*
-- Had a better look at the Animation Export System which helped me gain a
more clear view of what is happening
and what modifications can be done to improve the overall system. Tested
the current functionality of the system
by exporting a mix of animated components. Specially armature animations
were focused on.
Some flaws were identified through this procedure. For instance only
quaternion rotations were exported by the system
-- Added support to exporting BEZIER and STEP interpolated curves with
In-tangent and out-tangent sources. Thanks to
ccliffe's patch on the patch tracker. Did some modifications also.
-- Added support to export quaternion rotation animation f-curves also. Only
euler rotation animations were exported
before, for objects other than Armatures.
-- Refactored the export system to export Armature animations also as
F-curve animations, instead of exporting
them separately via another method. Specially worked on a method to
derive a valid name for Bone Animation exports.
Still have to commit the changes to test if the new system works on other
instances.

== *Plans for next week* ==
Now that I have a good overall export system, Have to check if import system
is compatible with the new changes.
So hope to cover the basic import improvements parallel to what I did this
week. First must have a thorough look
at the import system also.
== Issues ==
No serious issues this week.
Thanks! ,
phabtar
