2) what you will do next week

     -Smoothing tools:
This week I'll be devoting most of my time to a smoothing algorithm. Right now, the plan is to have it modify the weights on a vertex to make it match the original, undeformed vertices more closely (it's my current definition of smooth).
This will be put into a brush, and an operator for a selection.
I don't think it is readily compatible with Multi-Paint, because it is based on proportional change, not deformation.
Multi-Paint would need smooth specific code.

It's a lower priority, since smoothing is getting a week to test its feasibility, but I'll change WP's Vertex select to occlude geometry like face mask.

1) what you did this week

Fixed a Multi-Paint issue I hadn't spotted involving Auto Normalize (the subtract brush made it most noticeable for me).

Small UI fixes (vertex masking mostly).

I added a video on YouTube showing the Multi-Paint feature at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NFVGzvODNw

I spent a lot of time trying to make vertex select work like I want (see #2).

2) what you will do next week

Vertex selection in weight paint should work as though occlude geometry is active--I thought the backbuffer select functions were responsible for that result, but I was told otherwise--so I could use some direction.

Before the meeting, I need to discuss auto-brushes with my mentor
(given that some features may already accommodate the needs they'd provide they may not be of use).
I will ask about some of my other ideas then, however.
