Jason Hays
Radish Branch-Weighting Tools
Week 8

1) what you did this week

Fix a Locking bug (which was evident with the combined use of Multi-Paint).

Added Circle, Lasso, and Box select to weight paint mode using object mode specific functions
with the corresponding keymap commands involved

It now includes (de)select all.

I have a simple video on YouTube demoing the Locking feature at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I79Q6sOWnaE

2) what you will do next week

I want to figure out how to properly activate the clipping check for the selection tools,
but I'll have something to show for auto brushes next week.

3) any problems that will require extra attention

Clipping + an RNA issue:
What needs to happen to have properly functioning clip planes?
The added selection tools act like clipVerts is 0 because vc->rv3d->rflag & RV3D_CLIPPING is off (I think)

How do I make the activation of specific RNA properties deactiveate other specific properties?

Jason Hays
Radish Branch-Weighting Tools
Week 7

1) what you did this week

Added vertex selection capability to weight paint mode.

_Almost_ got circle select--I just need to know what the
face select mask does to invoke a view3d_select function
from weight paint mode. The code for it is there, but nothing is invoking it.
(After that detail is resolved, the others should be easy)

Other than that, there have been minor tweaks, comments,
and a great deal of time spent on merging to salad and getting a patch with mostly just my changes
--(has someone else been merging arbitrary fixes to radish but not to trunk?)

2) what you will do next week

Finish the selection tools, start on auto brushes!

3) any problems that will require extra attention

Thinking ahead, I started to wondering how I would recognize vertices spatially in weight
paint mode..

Hi Jason, regarding selection flushing, we have a way around this for
face/weight paint select - a similar function can be used for vertex
selection.
See: void paintface_flush_flags(Object *ob)

So just add an equivalent function for vertices's
