[Soc-2011-dev] taking notes as you familiarize yourself with the codebase

Hi all,

I'd like to request that you take notes on the codebase as you
familiarize yourself with the code you will work on.

Anytime you encounter a variable that it takes a bit of time to
understand, things that were counter intutive, files that it helped a
great deal to read, etc.

This way, we can hopefully save time for other individuals when they
want to have a look at the code

I'll set up a page on the wiki for it in the next few days or so.
