A common request for students was to provide more detailed weekly reports.

One way to do so is to make a note every half hour, or hour while you
are working about what you are currently working on.

Then when you do your weekly report, instead of trying to rely on your
memory and only getting vague recollections, you can just summarize
your notes.

This can also be useful to help you realize that rather than working
during that time, as you thought - you'd rather spent the whole time
on facebook or watching cat videos on youtube :)
