Hi! Not sure if this is the best place to mention this - if not,
please point me the right direction.

"Can I license .blend files myself?

Yes. The output of Blender, in the form or .blend files..."

Should be "in the form *of* .blend files", I think.

New user here, just trying to get started. Blender's giving me a lot
of power, but a lot of complexity too, so I'm depending on the web
site and online manual :)
