Whoops for some reason I read plugin for the original message,

please go to the blender bug tracker (if you enter th blender.org
forums you will see a link on the left) and file a bug report.  But
first, did you make sure you are using the one with the right version
of python?  (There are two OS X downloads at blender.org one for
python 2.3 which is probably what you want, and the other for python
2.4 which you probably don't want).

run blender from the console (see elysiun for details), and in your
bug report include any informaton in the console.

Try using a testing build from the blender.org testing fourm and see
if the problem still exists.
