Hi all,

I received this email - could someone please think of a good place where
we can put this?

Thanks,

Bart

Here's a writeup I did to update the Mac OS X installation
instructions to 2.33, modifying the instructions for 2.25
already in the documentation:

1. Download the file blender-2.33-darwin-6.6-powerpc.dmg
(OS 10.2 +)

2. When the download completes, the .DMG file will mount
on your desktop, and a window should open.

3. Create a folder on your hard drive (wherever you want,
most users prefer /Applications) and copy the Blender
files into that file.

4. Unmount the disk image (the mounted disk the .DMG put
onto your desktop)

5. Go to the folder you copied Blender into and double-
click the Blender icon to start Blender. Note: You can
also drag the Blender icon to your dock for quick access.

Detailed instructions:
Download the file blender-2.33-darwin-6.6-powerpc.dmg from
the downloads section of the Blender Website. When the
download completes, the .DMG file will mount a disk image
on your desktop, and possibly open a window. If a window
containing the Blender application does not open, double-
click the disk on your desktop to open the disk. Create a
folder (anywhere on your hard drive) to contain the
Blender application (name it Blender or whatever you like--
I use Macintosh HD:3D Tools:Blender)

Open your Blender folder and double-click the Blender icon
to run Blender. You can also open your hard drive (the
Macintosh HD icon on your Desktop), and open your
Applications, then drag the Blender icon from the original
folder to the Applications folder. If you wish to leave
the original Blender file and make a copy in the
Applications folder, hold the option key while dragging.
If you wish to make an alias to the original Blender
program, hold both the option and command keys while
dragging the icon.

You can also place the binary, a copy of the binary or an
alias to the binary on your Desktop instead of the
Applications folder, or put an alias on your Dock simply
by dragging the program icon down to the Dock.

Instructions by Kevin Skeen, some portions modified from
the Blender 2.25 instructions.

Hope it helps!
Kevin
