hi,

i see. ...but i did a test again while being in edit mode and blender seems
to handle this automatically. it switches to object mode and everything is
fine?

should i add the check like here
http://www.blender.org/documentation/237PythonDoc/Window-module.html#EditMode
nevertheless?
