[Bf-python] Custom node trees

Hello.
I am beginning to think about updating my Addon, the VI-Suite, to Blender 2.8. The VI-Suite creates three new node trees that with 2.7 all sat in the Node Editor window and you could switch between them quickly with the relevant icon. I have been running at the custom node template in 2.8 and now that the Node Editor window is gone new node trees all now sit as distinct entries in the top level window menu. As the VI-Suite often means switching between node trees it would be better if the old behaviour was possible i.e. all node trees are created within one 'Node editor' window. Will this previous behaviour be available in 2.8?
Cheers
Ryan
