[Bf-python] How to create a node and assign it to an object (python with cycles)

Hi,

I'm working on a script where I want to assign a material to a object 
but when using the scripts from the cookbook the material is not assigned 
(it is created though).

How can I assign a material node to an object when using Cycles?
