Nope ;) - It surprised me too. They have a general python list, where 
people only seem to discuss Python development, and a Python-Dev list - 
where they only talk about pythons internal development.

The Python list was where this discussion could take place - but it gets 
so many emails (110 on the 29th for instance) and most of the people who 
use it dont know C, that its not conducive to discussion on the C/API.
