[Bf-python] Proposal for Python IPO Curve module changes

Ok, just finished another project so can follow up on this earlier post
of mine:

Would anyone be interested in trying out a patch for this?  At least now
I have time to make more changes if necessary.

I'd also be willing to try my hand at digging into the Python IPO modules
for other changes beyond my previous proposal, if that would also be helpful.
