Yes, Campbell, following how faces were done and accounting for how it's 
done internally is the best way to go.  Right now I'm busy to look at 
this, but if you and or others go ahead with it, I can help with 
problems.  Pidhash was also looking at it, from what he told me at 
#blendercoders.
