[Bf-gamedev] Implement Clips like Maya?

The action system may make some sense for within Blender, but for exporting
the content to games it's pretty limited (only one object can be animated
per action and no relationship between action and object exists). Maya has
animation clips, which are ideal for this and Collada does support them:

Is there any way to do this in Blender?
