Hi, I hope this is the good place to ask for features, if not or it's not
understandable just tell me.
I know it's a lot and some of them will seem irrelevant but it will make
my life (and others probably) so much easier.
By complexity order:
Cycles preview Auto-pause/un-pause on mouse press/release:
When using cuda editing sliders or dragging connection in the node editor
is ... a pain. I almost managed to implement this feature with just:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0i8DBtwQZ0-b24zMVFUOXd5bnc/view?usp=sharing
But there is a bug and the pause state is not refreshed until you click in
the 3D viewport
Allow user to enable cuda compute devices individually, not just All or One
Allow user to scrub time with mouse like almost all ram player But in the
3dview
Allow user to change default value in general, for example but not limited
to:
for new curves: bpy.context.object.data.show_normal_face = False
for new scene : bpy.context.scene.render.engine = 'CYCLES'
for new scene : bpy.context.scene.render.resolution_percentage = 100
for new particle system: bpy.data.particles["ParticleSettings"].frame_end =
1
sky texture as default background color
Rotation ans scale vector output for object info node:
To be able to use geometry position UV on animated object
Cell's center position output slot for voronoi texture:
To implement a procedural turbulence in fire and smoke shader
Having 3d view as curve editor background or graph editor curve in front of
3D view like Akeytsu:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74eSHxwoGdQ
Rolling shutter taken into account in camera tracking :
For obvious reasons :)
Allow compositing node tree to be used as texture with a [Texture Output]
node with resolution parameters and options to control when it is
recalculated
OR
Allow offline computing node like Blur to be precomputed in UV space before
the render start
A disk/ram cache node in the compositing node tree editor, even better a
disk cache node that know if the nodes before it have changed
