[Bf-funboard] Consideration on Edge/Face Group

Sometimes we really need to create/store element sets other than vertex, or
adding/subtracting elements to/from selection. At least I found it's quite
convenient for setting sharps/seams, assigning materials, and even benefits
Freestyle pipeline.
IMHO, the only shortage for vertex group is when dealing with adjacent
edges/faces. Currently we have to try a few tricks, such as by marking as
unused edge types to store current edge selection; or assigning with new
materials to store current face selection. However, it wouldn't always work
conveniently. As it's sort of a widely-supported industry feature, I think
we could at least give it consideration a bit.
I'm not sure if this is an old topic, just a discussion from personal
point. :)
