Part of why it is hard to read is that it reads like one long sentence,
which it
is not. And the order is wrong too, I think. You want to know what key does
what action so the action should be shown first, then the keys.

It shows two keys performing the same action as joined with a "/" at one
point and an "or" at a different place.

I don't *think* that the items that aren't toggles need to say whether they
are
are on or off.  "Z" is a toggle though, so it could just say "Cut through"
or "Cut visible" depending on its current setting.

Combined it makes it a bit shorter so you can add more padding so it doesn't
look like one sentence.  Like this:
