My thought was to make it a "mode" of the F6 menu... Tap for it to appear.
Anytime a modifier is pressed it would appear.. It would disappear shortly
after.

The design challenge here is how to cleanly and clearly show the options
and keys.

The knife modifier "endless line of text" is really hard to read.

I think next I'll try an overlay with mini pictures of the mouse and
modifier keys.. More like the screencast input visualization widget.
