The guru of coding regarding particles, boids and
other such goodies is a young Finnish physics student
that goes by the name of "Jahka"...real name Janna,
who is quite incredible. Google "Jahka Particles" for
links...a Youtube video link will appear.

Ton mentioned in an interview that ver 2.5, available
in July (possibly) will be editable with MEL. Fleeky's
query about using brushes for verts is a feature
available in Maya and would be welcome in Blender.
