Hi Carsten,
so .. he/she is e.g. reading a tutorial that refers to a function by the
hotkey, but needs to find in which menu it is, instead?
i don't know if this approach is feasible, but it seems possible to get at
least some of the mappings out of the menu code like this:

besides improving such parsing, a fundamentally more reliable way would be to
just let the c compiler do the parsing and extract the info from as it is in a
running Blender .. might look at that later, or feel free anyone, but this was
quicker for me to try, while enjoying Andy's presentation :) (especially as
still have compiling probs on this 10.3 macosx)
