Currently, the buttons don't force to a certain draw style, they
limit drawing to a MAX representation of them.  If you're in wire
view mode, setting "shaded" for a given object does not draw it in
shaded form, since shaded is MORE intensive than wire.  It only
ensures that it will be drawn in shaded form when in shaded or
textured view modes.

Thus, it would be useless currently to add a Textured button, since
there's no view mode more intensive than Textured, for you to limit
yourself to.  When all of those draw limit buttons are unpushed,
you are letting it draw up to and including Textured mode already.

That said, perhaps there's a nice reason to adopt the "force a
specific draw mode" idea for certain objects.  Code up a proposal
and see what people say.  I saw your earlier patch on the list, so
let's see more patches from you to cover your out-of-box thinking.
