Hi,

interesting that fonts are the only place where this is already done the
(supposedly) saner way.

However, your patch will destroy the filenames stored in the structs, as
BLI_splitdirstring destroys both of its arguments. So, make a local copy
first, like unpackVFont() does.

Otherwise, this seems reasonable. I'd ask Ton on bf-committers after
revising the patch.
