[Bf-funboard] Several Suggestions

Hi,

Several ideas to do with Animation and Sound:

Blender needs some more sound editing features and capabilities.

Something that would be related to this (maybe) would be a tool that does
what Magpie does, except a few more options about what sections to preview,
and instant transfercance to characters.
Can this be done using Python scripting?

Some new additions to the controls that could be used in Character
Animation.
i.e. More bone types, Blend shapes/morph targets? applied when a bone is
moved, scripting (if anybody would use it).

About Blender's static particles:

Is there a way to control the way they grow?
Can an option be added about the density of the particles as an alternative
to number of particles so that a large surface can be covered?
Can objects be used as static particle bits like they can for normal
particles?

Controlling the way they grow: for example, all of the 'fibres' should
converge in the middle, but fan out again at the other end.

Recently I was working on a scene that had a moderate sized field of grass.
This had to be done using Ripsting's Fiber Generator (because Blender's
static particles would not create the desired effect, with streaks here and
there), firstly generating a small patch of grass then duplicating it
several times so that my computer wouldn't complain about not having enough
memory/pagefile??? Anyway, the eventual file was something like 22.8 mb .
Blender's editing speed had gone from less than a second to two. If
Blender's static particles could be generated when rendering, and the
density chosen, then that would be good.
