Hi Tom

This is (as far far as I am concerned) a nice way to rotoscope (I am
certainly not the first one to use that setup, but I invented it on my own):

The window is maximized (toggle with Ctrl-Uparrow/Downarrow)

The reference pictures are in a separate scene linked as a (background) set.
This has the advantage that you won't accidently select your reference
planes.

you can change views with numpad 1/3/7 and Ctrl numpad 1/3/7

So I seldom use the background-pic feature at all (it slows down cheap
graphic cards and is less flexible)
