I'm sorry, you misunderstood me. I know Blender very
well. In pretty much every program on the planet you
use ctrl-o to open, not to reopen last. Only Blender
doesn't use ctrl-o for opening. I think that ctrl-o
should be remapped for th Open command. We could still
have a hotkey for Reopen Last. Tha could be one of the
F keys (Maby we could just switch the Open and Reopen
Last commands hotkeys).

The reason I belive this would be better is because we
have to be very friendly to new users. It is very
arrogant to not care about the new users of Blender. I
am an experienced user, but I would like to see
Blender become the most popular 3D program in the
world. This is possible because it is free and has
some amazing features. To conquor the 3D market we
only need to make it easier to learn. Even if you hate
Microsoft, Apple and all other software companies, it
would still be good to use the standards in hotkey
assignment for basic actions such as save, load, copy,
paste, cut (I know we have the standards for copying,
pasting and cutting text, but it should copy to the OS
clipboard too. Currently that is done with another key
combination) and so on.

F1 should be Reopen Last

Ctrl-O should be Open
