[Bf-funboard] A thing that was better in 2.28

I really like the stuff that has been done for 2.30
sor far. It looks like a big improvement. One thing
though that has really bothered me alot is the
placement of the databrowse menu thing(click on the
link below to see what I am talking about). In 2.29 it
is not clear at all that this refers to all settings
in the buttonswindow. For example in the
MaterialButtons, it used to be very clear that you
were using, say "Blue carpet" as your material, and it
was clear that when you chose another material from
the list, you affected all the material settngs on the
selected object. The way this used to be layed out was
one of the genious things of the Blender UI. Now, it
looks like it only affects the Material tab and not
the shaders or texture tabs.

Look here to see what I mean:

I think we should revert to the old way of doing this.
It says in the UI doc that we should change the bad
aspects of the Blender UI and leave the good bits.
This, I think, used to be one of of the really good
and genious bits. It was logical, it was fast, and it
consistent throughout the application (it looked
similar in the world buttons, texture buttons, edit
buttons and so on..)

What is your oppinion?
