Ok!

Well it's taken a bit of time hacking the tracker code at
projects.blender.org, but it now seems ready to use properly (sorry it's
taken so long :/). We've made a 'project' at the Blender projects site,
available at:
http://projects.blender.org/projects/bf-funboard/ . We'll use the 'Agenda
topics' tracker (
http://projects.blender.org/tracker/?atid=207&group_id=32&func=browse ). I
re-did the layout and changed the tracker to allow you to use [url] and
[img] tags like in the forums, so that may make things a bit easier to
manage. You can also upload and attach files. Ton and I have also put the
topics from the list already into the tracker. I've started by posting a few
items of interest to the topics, but not much so far.

It would be best to keep these tracker topics quite specific. For more
general discussions or ideas, please use the mailing list. Especially since
the tracker topics won't spill on to multiple pages if there are lots of
comments, we need it to stay on topic, such as posting links to sites to
help in research, posting mockups, proposals, references, etc. Also, it will
be easier for more people to participate if the more general discussions
take place on the list. Anyway, we'll see how it works out. Now that most of
this admin setting up is done, I hope to start posting some of my own ideas
too.

However we admins can't organise everything on our own. We need some people
to help guide the work on each topic, organising other people's research,
writing proposals etc. This can happen by becoming a 'member' of the
functionality board project on projects.blender.org - which gives a few
other responsibilities such as some admin powers on the facilities at the
site.

Many of you seem to be enthuiastic about certain topics and some have
already come up with initial proposals. Who would like to volunteer to take
care of leading the work in a topic?

Additionally to the tracker, I've also made a nice info page, used as the
'project home page' of the funboard project. I've put a bunch of useful
links there to UI guidelines, demo versions of other software to reference
etc. If there's anything you know that would be useful to add to that page,
let me know! http://www.blender.org/docs/fubo.html

So in summary: Go sign up for an account at projects.blender.org, feel free
to start adding research, mockups etc to the tracker topics, and we also
need 'members' to volunteer to take care of topics. Let's get to it!
