Very good idea, I personnally put all the usefull
script in my .b.blend, but a more plugin like
interface would be useful indeed.

What would also be nice is the ability to switch
between scripts without loosing the settings from one
or the other.

Sounds not too hard to do, I even did something like
that in Python not so long ago (read more there:
